I like it a lot. I cut the 2 inch square steel tube, and drilled the hole for a pin then a friend of mine welded it up for me. It is good for hauling my canoes and kayaks and long pieces of lumber.

Make it yourself then you can make a clamp and stop as well.

I need to buy a welder and learn to use it. I have to rely on friends when it comes to welding.

thought about it but then i still have the problem of getting the steel here to begin with... ntm drilling a straight hole lol.. the overhead rack is something im gonna miss from my other truck... thought of getting one for my new truck.. but its alot taller and parking garages are... well low enough ill run into a problem lol....

Get one of the collapsable racks. So you can put it down when not in use. They have some eaasy up and down ones now.

it would have to be an on off rack for me... one of the garages i frequent i literally have an inch maybe 2 between the roof and the ceiling lol...

I saw it on Trucks. it collapse down on the bed rails. it really looked interesting and easy.

yeah seen them before too.. but theyre made for beds with nothing on em.. i got the tannue... plus one reason i like contractor racks is they go over the cab to protect them from long loads.. those bedracks dont..
