Art, here in upstate we have our troubles too! For instance, all the down staters moving up here! Just kidding, plenty of room in great spots if you know where to look! And you don't have to look too hard!

Evening Spur, Don and Shaun.

Well my truck now sounds like a stock car with no exhaust. Stopped to pick dinner up on my way home from work it was fine. Started it up and boy was she loud. I will try to get under it tomorrow to see what is up with it or I may wimp out and take it to the garage to have them look at it for me.

Yeah, it does seem to be trying to do that. I am hoping that it is a inexpensive fix, but time will tell.

Probably just a rotted out pipe or maybe the muffler fell off

My guess would be the muffler.

Nothing fell off that I am aware of. I am betting that it is the muffler that went. It has a little rumble at idle but she barks when I am on it. It is so loud inside and the drone is so bad that I opened the windows a bit. It is the original exhaust system with over 142K miles on the clock.

I have had a tail pipe rust off right at the muffler before.

That is what I am thinking. If it was after the muffler then it would be a little louder.

Not really Neil. The muffler would still keep it quiet. Only way for it to get louder is for it to be the muffler or before it.
