I'm not an electrical genius but my dad is an electrical engineer lol so i have that going for me. I currently have the tow mirrors with turn signals and heat that is constantly on when the truck is running. So basically all i have to add minus cutting and soldering the new connector on is the power and switches for the power options. Also i want to rig the heat up to a switch because i don't need it for 6 months out of the year lol but that's easy all i need is a switch.

With all you have already from factory...it's just a match wires together and connect however you choose. The options like extend and fold...just plan ahead, know where you're going to put the PFM, install the heat switch, etc. and pull wires all at once. As most go mirror to mirror. Things like the extend go mirror to mirror + an extra foot and a half or so. That's basically run like the factory wiring harness around the door. You see/understand better when having the door panel off. You're way head of the curve ball (from where I was) given you all ready have turn signal and heat.
Use a fish tape and you can easily work it through the door into the cab and attach wire. Plenty of room and options on where to run the wire up under the dash and places to tie it.

Sounds easy enough, i know I'm way ahead of the ball by having basically everything except the power options in place, are these mirrors really $900 each from Ford!? that's outrageous I could see that for 2 maybe. Dfuser has them for $2000 .

Check Craigslist, Ebay, etc. regularly, as I've seen them go for $300-400 per pair.
I am getting ready to do this conversion on my '99 F-250. I bought 08-12 power / heated mirrors w/ the marker / turn lights (manual fold / telescope). My '99 has all manual mirrors, so I'll need to run all the wiring.
I've been searching for a wiring diagram for the '99, or the '08+, but no luck. I'd like to find under dash plugs where I can tap off where I need without cutting. Can anybody point me in the right direction?
Also, xmontex4 says that the heat is on all the time in a factory setup. Is this really true? Seems like a good way for Ford to sell new mirror heaters every now and then. I haven't looked into it yet, but I was thinking I might try and hook that relay up to the defroster setting. Since the defroster setting turns on the A/C, there's gotta be an electrical connection in there somewhere...
