94 F250 Cruise Control

94 F250 351 Cruise control has been working fine, tried it last week and it does not work. Any suggestions on what might cause it to stop working

It might be the sensor connects to the brakes. Theres a sensor right in front of the brake fluid reservoir that shuts off the cruise control when you step on the brakes. The sensor on my truck started leaking then the cruise stopped so check that out.

For some reason I guess the guy that changed my oil last unplugged the wires that connect to the brake cylinder, Plugged it back in and cruise it working again. Thanks again for your reply, I was looking for the sensor when I found it.

Isn't that the sensor that leaks with the engine fire problem?

It sure is the root cause for many engine compartment fires and the reason why Ford recalled millions of vehicles.

If it turns out to be the servo controller I got mine at the local Pick n Pull for 20 bucks.

There was a recall on Cruise Control issues. Check with your Ford dealer. I know the PO of my 95 F150 told me to remind him & he would give me the letter Ford sent him. To get it checked.

If you do not have a harness that looks like this:

Leave the original harness/connector disconnected until you can get the truck to a dealer to install the recall. The risk of fire is not worth playing the odds...
