What about a 6.2 F150 4X2???

Ya'all
First of all, there is so many threads in this forum, it is just about impossible to find anything. Next, when it comes to 6.2 talk it's all about the SD and they are usually 4X4. So I thought I would set a new post.
This is what I have- 2011 F150 S/Crew Lariat 4x2. (had to special order it)

Performance is great. Blows away any eco or 5.0. No sense arguing here because it does. Gas mileage is about 17-19.5 miles per U.S. gal HWY feather footing it on regular gas. (so you get the idea I'm north of the border) The fun factor is there, but can it be funner with a few benefits????

I was thinking about a power programmer, cold air intake and a cat back.

If I spend a grand or so, what can I expect?
-Better fuel economy? How much?
-More power? How much?
-What's the best brands? I'm looking at AFE cold air, Gibson cat back and Edge programmer. (there's a dealer in Calgary that sells this stuff and recommends it)

Basically, what I'm asking, will I notice it or am I just wasteing a grand. But then what's a grand, my 50,000 Km or 30,000 mile service at the Ford dealership cost me that. I got hosed.

Don

I bet that F150 is a beast. You don't see many of them around here at all... nearly every F150 the dealer had when I got my SD a few weeks ago was either an XLT with a 5.0 or a loaded to the max EcoBoost. They didn't have any with a 6.2 that I saw while walking around killing time.

Oddly enough they had a 2wd 6.2 SD King Ranch however.

2wd F150? What a rocket

Get a tuner - talk to Mike at 5-star first, and see what he can do. Even without any power gains, the throttle response will be so much better you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner

What gears do you have?
