Zf5 fluid ?
I'm waiting on taxes to come it but when they do I'm Gona start my truck work w Trani rebuild , turbo rebuild / ebpv delete , up pipes , chip gauges , and full 4 in exhaust so my question is what trans fluid would y'all suggest / run ?
And any suggestions during this project ?

synthetic atf is the recommended fluid, right now I am running synthetic 10W30 motor oil and 1 quart of slick 50, that has been in there for 3 years. the next time I get the urge to change it I am putting amsoil syncromesh in it to see what it does.
I am almost always towing big loads.
and I have a spare ZF5 47 with a transfer case sitting on the shelf with 80,000 miles on it so I don't worry too much about testing different oil in it.
the pic in my signature is over 30,000 pounds. i tow that load 2 times a year 600 miles.

Ya I'm a quart over now but iv had issues w the Trani syncros for 3 yrs since I bought it and I'm fed up w them it sucks pullin a 20 ft gn when u can't down shift 3rd . I would love to have the money to spend lol but I better stick w my stock stuff for now . I am putting autometer boost , pyro and fuel psi plan on going w php for tunes

That all depends on what brand you go w you can get atf anywhere but may not be the brand you want
