no oil supply from lpop

Hey guys, finally got a chance to dig into the 03. (Broken lpop) I changed the gears. It still won't supply oil. After dumping a gallon of oil directly in filter housing it actually fired and ran a few seconds. Then back to just cranking. I've had the regulator in and out it is stiff but even after cranking with the regulator and cap and spring out no oil comes out of the regulator chamber... any suggestions??

I haven't changed the front cover. Just bought the gear kit and seal. Theres no spring tension on the plug when I pull it out...

I didn't, the outer gerotor was intact so I figured it was ok. I did it without removing the fan.... I'll have to take it back apart and order a new front cover. There was some scoring on the pump cover.

The million dollar question becomes WHAT caused the issue highlighted in bold red, to determine the direction the repair will take and the depth.

Yea Mike, I was wondering the same thing. Hopefully not a needle bearing. Has to be something though.

Aww it's been an issue for years, I think this is the 4th or 5th time I've broke the pump. I have a tendency to over rev it...
