Keep the hate down kid... I haven't seen the pictures yet, but a 6.0 can be a Ford diesel too... And in any case, it's his truck and he's entitled to do whatever he wants with it.

Quite the contrary. This is what needs to be removed from the Ford site.

It seems awkward, but whenever you "insert a picture" to one of these threads, the forum is looking for the picture somewhere on the web (which is always available) rather than from somewhere on your hard drive (which isn't always available).

Go to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket and sign up for a free account. Then create an album for your truck. Upload any pics you want to post on FTE to that album. Have this album open on your computer when you want to post pics on FTE.

While you're making a post on FTE, select the pic you want to post from your Photobucket album. When the large version of the pic is open, right mouse click on it and select "View Image Info". The image info will be highlighted and will look something like this:
The best photos and videos | Photobucket

Copy that highlighted info (right click / copy).

When you have the spot in your post where you want the pic to be placed, select the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the post (looks like a mountain) and paste (right click / paste) the image info you copied in the highlighted box (just shows "http://" when it opens).

Your pic will be placed in the post.

Hope that helps.

There is no need to jump all over this guy and start bashing his ride, from the pics I saw it looks like a nice bronco. You might not agree with his decision to put a gm 6.0 in, but some people need to learn how to keep some of their oppinoins to themselves. I like both Fords and Chevys, I have had quite a few over the years, the 6.0L is an awsome motor with limitless potental. Good luck with your one of a kind project

Thanks for the step by step on how to get em up we've been really busy with the swap and I have been trying to take lots of detailed pics in case someone is looking at doing the swap. It's cool guys love the support people like 79 bronco just hate on what they can't afford. If this helps one person it's worth it to me that's what forums are for

Ok so I waited 10 days it still won't let me upload directly from my phone so I may have to wait till I can get on the computer but we finished up the swap. It is stupid fast and it hasn't even went to the dyno yet this is the first time a SUV has actually scared me. It will lift the front end all the way up when you floor it and low range is ridiculous when it shifts to second all 4 wheels lose traction and it pitches sideways. It also made me realize our brakes suck they are all brand new but they don't cut the mustard. So looks like 4 wheel disk and new master cylinder are in the near future. I'm gonna post some vids and dyno numbers. It is literally night and day between it and the 351 it replaced. I highly recomend the swap.

What was modified to do the swap? is it a manual or an auto? how are you managing the transmission? sounds fun.

We custom made mounts all of which could have been bolt in tranny mount is bolt in it is a piece bent like a flattened out s we cut up a shifter from the chevy tcase and made heim joint and all thread shifter for the t case the we reused all but the down linkage on tranny. I made a braket to catch the end of pivot rod out of flat steel bent and small tube cut at an angle. Then all thread and hiem joints where used to go to a modified chevy shift part on the chevy tranny. We could have made it all bolt in but time got the best of us. Eletrical is easy a couple of adapters and we reused stock sending units and I made a simple 6 fuse harness for the 6.0 all the pinks are switched orange are constant power and black are ground then I had to tap into the harness for an ODB2 port I put under the dash and wire to the t case to tell the computer it is in low. Fuel I used an 89 bronco sending unit a frame mounted pump and filter and just ran a return line to tank via the 89 sending unit. Cooling I used stock upper hose and cut up a couple hoses and put exhaust. Tubing inside them to bridge the gap. Stock overflow I used as much stock wrings plugs as I could so it just in plugs like stock drive shafts went to the jy and put a ford shaft took out the ford slip part and was able to slide the chevy part in the rear is custom.

4l80e it came behind the 6.0 factory it has a np 241 tcase it is auto shifted tranny, computer controls tranny and motor. T-case is manually shifted but has a spot for vss sensor in the back which is need for the tranny basically the best part of those motors trannys and tcase is it is a self contained package and for us it was an easy fit

We had considered a coyote 5.0 but our tranny didn't have overdrive and we also considered building up the 351 with fuel injection and all that but for power to drivability this just fit plus idles like a 2003 chevy truck you hit the key it starts. The coyote would do the same thing but then we would have had to figure out a suitable 4x4 tranny that would hold its power reliably. And it looks like the 5.0s are fetching 5-7k while I think we came in right at 4k all said and done
