Hey guys this should be a pretty simple fix, here's my issue: When i turn the key to the on position with the headlights off, all of the lights that illuminate the dash come on (as if the headlight switch is pulled out) and when i pull the switch out the lights that illuminate the dash go out.

all the lights work fine and there is no problem there, it is just as if the connection that controls the dash lights is wired backward??

is this common?

someone point me in the right direction to get them working properly!
