OBS Alcoa center caps

Hey guys, just wondering if anybody has any extra OBS center caps there are not using. I have checked my local JY's for months and no luck. I have a 97 F350 4x4 PSD. I am wanted the factory Alcoa center caps, not aftermarket knock-off's. Thanks!!

Try posting a wanted add in the classified section for these parts if you haven't done so. You may get a broader audience there. Best of luck, as I have been trying to find a set of these wheels at a fair price for about 2 years.

I tried posting a WTB in the classifieds with no luck, so I thought maybe someone in this section might have one lying around and would part with it...? I find it hard to believe that here at my local JY there isn't any lying around but I have been checking there for months with no luck!!

Thanks Brad, but I am wanting the one's with the Ford logo on the rear center caps, like they came from the factory.

just an fyi push through wont work with the stock wheels without enlarging the hole it fits tight on the rear axle hub

I am missing a rear one as well...

No way I'm payin Ford $93 for ONE cap.

Check Ebay. I saw a set of new, reproduction ones (but they have the Ford logo and are identical to the stock ones) Were $90 some odd dollars for a full set of 4!

I got 2 fronts but no rears, My crew cab was missing the rears as well.

You'd think with the massive number of these trucks with factory rims, and the rate they fly off you could ask any boy scout and they have prolly found a few lying in the ditches...

Ordered a set of those. Supposed to arrive today, but it'll be a week or two before I get the rims on the truck (just found them on CL). Hopefully they're decent. From what I can tell, they don't snap into the rim like the OEMs do. Looks like they squeeze around the lugnuts, I think.

Will report back one way or the other.

No ford logo is aftermarket(copyright infringement)
SETOF4 Ford Truck Van 8LUG 16" Chrome Wheel Center Hub Caps Nut Covers Alloy Rim | eBay

Of lesser quality than the OEM ones are are know to fly off pulling out of your driveway. And they snap into the recesses in the wheel, not the lug nuts like the newer style

Ancient thread, I know, but I stumbled across it while looking for something else.

Just to report back, I've had the ebay caps on my truck now for months with no issue. Yes, they're meant to grab around the outside of the lugnuts. So, to ensure it'd be a tight fit, I turned each lugnut so that a corner of the hex was as far from the center of the wheel (radially) as possible. Yes, that means my torque specs aren't exact, but it shouldn't be off by a huge factor. I've had no issues with the caps coming loose (or coming off), so I'm pretty happy.

That being said, if I ever have to take the truck anywhere for work that requires removing a wheel, I'll probably take the caps off myself so they don't fall off on the way home.

I have a few sets of the original ford hub caps. The chrome is a little bit bad on a few of them, but the trick is get lug nuts that do not interfere with the center cap install, so that means like a 13/16 I believe socket size lug nut, then bend the wires slightly to grab the wheel. I have never lost one, but I don't beat my 96 truck, so that could be part of it too. Agreed on a poor design, but the look is unmatched for me. I feel like a 97>95 with factory alcoas and all the hub caps is the finest look these trucks ever had.
