1933 F350 head bolt torque

Hi,

I'm looking for clarification on the head bolt torque on a 1993 F350 with a 460. I have a factory service manual that tells me to torque the bolts to
140 ft/lb. Other references I've come across on this subject say to torque to about 100 and some say to 140. The bolts are 3/4" head, is that matters. Normally, I would trust the factory manual above others, but 140 just doesn't seem right.

Thanks

I've got the 1996 Helms manual and it also shows 140 lb/ft as the final torque for the 460 head bolts.

I appreciate you looking that up. I just came across Fel-Pro site and they also say 140. It just seems insanely high to me.
This is my first rebuild, so I want to get it right, not to mention the money I have in it.

Thanks
