You didn't really state what you are trying to accomplish. Just my opinion, but that is over kill on the distributor. You can get a stock rebuilt one for a fraction of that one.. And there is nothing wrong with a stock cast manifold.. Unless you are building an all out engine...

Sure. That's a more expensive option but it is easy to tune and a well known brand.
If you don't want to spend so much, go to the parts store and get a rebuilt distributor for a 1964 F100. It will probably be a Motorcraft which is good because you can find different points cams for tuning and you can convert it to a Duraspark trigger pretty easily, if you wish.

Ideally you would want one like the top right, that will take a Holley or Autolite.

You don't want the bottom left one with the square pattern.

Shop around for one, some of the ones on EvilBay are way over priced.. Unless $$ aren't an issue..

The red ones are for a tea pot. Those require an adapter for a newer carb.

The other two will allow a modern carb to bolt directly.
The aluminum one is the best aftermarket manifold there is, and simply the best manifold period.
The large base iron intake is the best factory intake there is.
Get one of these. For a stock or mild motor, go with the iron intake.

If. I'm going to need to buy a carb then I need a different distributor and manifold .... I would like to reuse it on the motor after I brake it down and build it up .

Ok. Now do I need to look for one that is used on 57 and up and do I verify that with the Id # on the manifold ?

I think any 57 up will have the Holley type spaced bolt pattern. You could verify it by number but it should be obvious when you see it..

Also as you mentioned in your first post, dual exhaust will help a lot, the stock system with the crossover is really restrictive.

The exhaust is something I'm not sure of. Everyone has a different theory on how much back pressure if any at all is needed. I've read several articles on it and have never came to an exact conclusion.

WOW! I've never seen that compressor setup, what is that for

The biggest you can use with rams horns is about 2". The bolt spacing is too narrow to go any bigger unless you get fancy with tapered pipes. 2" will be plenty.
