Do you have a U-Pull junkyard near you? That same KS is used on several applications from the late 80's - easiest donor would be a '87 - '90 2.3 Mustang, as they sit up on the upper intake. It's a part that rarely fails, so no concern re-deploying a used part.
Regardless, don't worry too much about running without one in the short term. Just make sure timing is set properly.

Here is what I come up with:
FOTZ-12A699-A is obsolete from Ford, but
Walker 242-1009
Tomco 29049
NAPA # ECHDKS312
The NAPA # seems to be the esiest to get. Hope this helps man.

Great info Wade! I used to have some links to Tomco to look these obsolete Knock Sensors up, but the links were not working the other day. The previous post is correct, there is a frequency difference between the V8 and six cylinder versions.
In the long run they are not 100% required, but if you really want one....
