I emailed them twice on shipping costs to Ca.
No reply. Great customer service.

Al, I don't know which company you are referring to, or when you emailed, but I do know that Classic Haulers and Mid Fifty both provide the very best service in the business, they should be the model all other suppliers should try to match. Both have a toll free number if you need the info right away, just pick up the phone, a real live person will answer the call and your questions. Remember most specialty suppliers are basically small operations where each person there may wear several hats, they pretty much shut down when they attend shows, celebrate holidays, get sick and sometimes even have a life outside their business, just like you and me. Sometimes things get missed, set aside and forgotten, computers occasionally burp, or messages "sometimes" even evaporate into cyberspace. I came up in this hobby when the internet didn't exist, long distance phone calls were very expensive, and very few suppliers outside the local parts house or junkyards (as they were called back then) were the main sources of parts, You often had to drive hours, hike through rows of bramble covered bug and vermin inhabited old half stripped hulks in hopes of finding something you could modify to use then remove it yourself, haul it home. There were no guys in brown shirts and shorts delivering pristine parts all packaged up in sealed cardboard boxes and a few magazines brought us news and info about what was happening 3 to 6 months after it happened else where, and how to do some basic work once a month or two. Even now not everyone communicates electronically, especially us old timers.
I'm sure they value and want your business, but sometimes sh** happens, be glad they are there, cut em some slack, and help them help you.
I think there must be some confusion between midwest early ford (who original poster had problem with) and Mid Fifty F100's, because I have heard of no issues with Mid Fifty's service.
You may want to go to google and type in the part you need. When I did that several sources came up. And you would
have a new radiator. And sell the other one.
Good Luck
Cindy
My husband ordered a new bed for my 1953 F100 and there was not any way to bolt it down, so he thankfully knew how to fix it.
But it cost a few dollars and time. You all are right they don't know all the parts and years and don't check for you.
