Can anyone tell me what goes to this plug?

Can anyone tell me what went in this plug? The previous owner had to have a court ordered Breathalyzer installed and this is what is left over after it was removed. It is located just to the right of the steering column under the dash, I suspect that it has something to do with cruise control, since its not working. Id like to get the cruise functional, I just need to know what to search for.

I'll have to check that, I just rebuilt the clutch pedal assembly not long ago, and I seem to remember connecting something when I put it back in, but I may be thinking of something else.

That looks like the clutch safety switch plug that was in my 89 F150. It had some connections that enabled the cruise control ( probably shut it off when you shoved in the clutch).

That MIGHT be it if you have a manual.

I agree, looks like clutch safety switch. I suppose even an AT truck would have the wiring for it. Do you have a manual? That red and blue wire that is cut is for the start circuit, that is probably where they tapped into it when the interlock was installed.

The automatic trucks has the wiring as well. AT trucks usually just had a dummy plug plugged in. Which, btw, can be used on a standard truck to bypass the clutch.

The 511 light green wires are the speed control wires and you will have to short them to get the speed control to work.

The 32 red wires with a light blue stripe are the wires going to the starter relay (solenoid) as noted above.

The 480 & 481 wires are the wires going to the computer (481) from the run position of the Ignition switch (480). They need to be broke when the clutch is pushed down and made when the clutch is up.

Here is a pin-out of the 1992 plug C261:

I think you guys are right, The clutch rod has been cut re welded and otherwise pretty well hacked, the switch was never on there when I took it apart to rebuild the pedal assembly, so didn't know that something was supposed to go on there. Also I don't have to press the clutch to start it. One of my near future plans is to replace the bushing with a heim joint, so it would be a good time to throw a switch on there, hopefully I don't have to replace the cylinder due to the shortened shaft. Thanks for the pinout subford

I noticed that 2 of the wires on the end are already twisted together, so I assume that that is the starter bypass, I'm going to try shorting 511 over the weekend to see if the cruise works, or if I will need to continue troubleshooting. Thanks for the info
