That's nice. Yeah, you're anniversary was kind of a bummer, wasn't it.

The whole Christmas/New Year thing was not fun. I look at the picture of the prime rib I cooked on Christmas Day and get mad since I only had a very tiny piece of it.

Well, do another one! I'm going to fry another turkey while I'm off this next two weeks. Gotta justify that expensive oil somehow!

I got some used motor oil you can have Pat! I'll send it to Omaha with the wife next Friday when she flys out.

No, I'll pass on that! I saved the oil from the last turkey, it's in the freezer. You can reuse like 3 or 4 times, as long as your strain it, then freeze it.

Just pull the valve cover and replace the gasket.....use a thin layer of non-hardening make-a-gasket compound on both sides of the gasket.

Gasket and the compound?

When I had my 76 F150 back in 1995, it was leaking at the valve cover (300 6 cyl)... I replaced the gasket, the leak stopped, then it started burning oil. I guess it just wanted to get rid of oil, lol.

Rob..... I use both. Helps ensure no leaks. Just my way of doing things...

Isn't it though. I don't think we have seen the last of the nasty stuff though. I don't expect anything really cold but I'm sure there will be more white crap.
