Hi all, so one day last week my headlights just suddenly turned on, I hadnt driven it in days, light switch is off, not running, key is out, the ONLY thing I can do is unhook the batteries.

2 weeks ago I DID replace my headlights but everything was fine til a few days ago. I checked the connections, even put the old bulbs back in, no change.... any ideas?

 

I guess I'd start by pulling the switch out.

 

Like the headlight switch inside?

 

Either there or the headlight relay. Is it a Canadian pickup with DRL?

 

Not sure where the headlight relay is, and no, it is NOT a Canadian truckl One thing I DID notice was, there was a clicking sound coming from just below the right side battery, it goes on for about 20 sec or so then finally stops.

 

Ok, it's probably not the headlight switch, plugged in new one, headlights are still on, they headlights are even on when switch is unplugged. We checked all known fuses.
Dead end....
