high pressure oil line leak

I have a leak on the high pressure oil line going toward the passenger side. It looks like an oring got squished out. How do I fix this? do I need an oring or a special tool? It looks like I could unscrew it and put one in and put it back. Do I have to release some pressure or something first?

We are in a campground with SLOW wifi so it's hard to search.

Thanks

John

Is it the fitting going into the head or the line itself? The lines just simply push into the fitting on the head there's no oring there

It's behind the hpop kinda under the fuel bowl, I guess I was unclear about that haha.

There is an oring on both sides of the fittings. The fittings on the drivers side of the HPOP has a oring between the pump and the fitting. The fitting has a oring down under the connecting ring.Same application for the head fittings.
I would call Bob and get him to send you some if you do not have any.

I just did hpop orings and fittings on mine. Look at diesel orings.com and they have a kit and a special tool to remove lines from fittings. Orings, tool and shipping was less than $60!! Not a hard job to do. I had mine start to finish done in less than an hour and that was taking my time.

Most dealers do. If its the oring between the fitting and the hpop you can remove it without the special tool. You'll need a stubby 19mm and some patience but it can be done. Be careful by doing this as not to damage the orings inside the fittings while spinning the fittings loose. Good luck!

I got the orings from the dealer, came with loctite too. I don't know if i'll be able to get the thing off witout the quick connect off. Anyone try using a fuel line disconnect or something? Can't find one local.

Sometimes you can get lucky with two flat head screwdrivers.Put the two screw drivers on hose side of the black plastic cover.Pry the hose while pulling on the hose.

If your close to chattanooga,tn I can try to get you the tool I bought. You can google 'how to change hpop orings' and a guy made his own tool out of a cheap bicycle wrench. I think the opening was a 9/16, but the tool was very thin.

You will need a pick to get the small oring out of the fitting. The oring rests under a plastic ring inside the fitting.Pay close attention when you remove the old one so you can see where it goes. The oring on the straight threaded fitting is self explanatory. It goes at the base of the fitting.
You can see the inner parts to the fitting.

Got it fixed, ended up I had a very thin 1/2 wrench I ground down and sharpened it a bit. Worked like a charm.
