Lightbulb 93' Bronco XLT with some wheel well rust..

Starting my mini write-up on patching up my 93' Bronco XLT..

Going to try and use Bondo Glass for this.. if not a small patch will be made up..

The vehicle.. Black and Smoke Metallic (Gray)..

The rust area(s) on top of both rear wheel wells.. (normal stuff)..

I tapped around the area and nothing collapsed.. so I'll trim/grind off some and see whats up..

Suggestions or tips are appreciated..

@ khadma I have considered the panels.. but want to do the fiberglass thing first and see what happens..

Well today I started on the passenger side (shown above)..

After some cutting with the dremel the hole opened up.. (also did some Rustoleum Rust Converter before I went to the next step..)

Then after some magic with long strand fiberglass hair.. and yes their is still a space between the quarter panel and wheel well panel.

Then after a skim coat of Bondo Glass (short hair fiberglass)..

Then this new type of Bondo brand putty from a tube.. mixes like Bondo with a hardner..

If you wanted to help your repair out, you would of removed the inner wheel well. All that does is trap dirt, salt, moisture in there and you cant get to it to clean it out

Heres where I ended up at..

Sanded with 220

With some sandable primer..

And then some non-matching grey metallic duplicolor to hold me till the matching MS (coded) paint comes in I just ordered off of Amazon..
