Thoughts on how to do it? That's easy. They just stick on. Use a sharpened scraper to gently remove the old badge. Get all the adhesive off by soaking the area with windex, then carefully scraping it with a new razor blade. It should come off clean without damaging the paint. Then use double sided emblem adhesive tape to stick the new one on.
RC is old school. I like the dental floss and then clean up with rubbing alcohol. It's the cleanest method I've found that I can't screw up. I'm a bodyman but hate to make more work for myself. Is the emblem as ugly as the EcoBoost emblem? Pretty durn garish, we just de-emblemed Sarge's 2013 F150 with the EcoBoost yesterday using the floss method.

I don't know what the emblem will look like when it comes, but the emblem pictured above is supposed to be of high quality with an aluminum backing. hopefully it comes while missouri is having a hot flash day and I'll let ya guys know what I think.
GF or WF's hair dryer to heat it up and a few pieces of dental floss will sip it right off.
Some ol wax string amd some 3m back to back tape should not peel the new Fords paint off.
I actually own a heat gun, lol makes putting vinyls on racecars easier, but I was watching a video on utube about how to go about doing it, they keep saying to use 3m adhesive remover, I'm just kinda bugged out about that because i'm not looking to take the paint off the truck in the process.
Check out my "5.0 Coyote" thread in the '09-present foroum. I got a couple stickers similar to the OP's. After removing with help of a heatgun and fishing line, you can clean the left behind adhesive with either the 3M stuff, or, a citric acid based adhesive remover. Both work well, and neither will hurt the paint. Just before applying, wipe it down with alcohol, and let dry a couple times.
