7.3 fuel milage

So I was wondering about fuel milage. I'm getting about 10.5-11 in my 4x4 91 ext cab f250 NA 7.3 w the E4OD w 3:55 gearing... I've got a more aggressive tire but not a large tire.

Thoughts?

I know the tires are affecting it a bit, but I guess my what I'm asking would be, is this a fair mpg for what I have? It seems a little low to me but I was a teenager the last time I had one and it just wasn't important then haha.

I think your mileage could be better. Some claim 20, but 15 is more reasonable.

That's more what I was expecting/hoping for... We get 18 out of our PS and its got 900,000miles haha so I would hope the idi could do better than 11

11s pretty good.....when towing for 3.55s you should be getting high teens at least, unloaded my 4.10s (7.3 turbo w E40D) gets around 15 (at least pre IP and injector swap)

I'm pretty tame when I comes to driving habits, at least these days I am. I believe something is off somewhere. I had a brake issue when I bought it but it is all resolved now (tho I am going to double check for any resistance) and the alignment is perfect straight as an arrow.

11 seems way low! My 460 does that good of mileage!

Iv filled up my 7.3 n/a twice now:
16 mpg with prolly 3/4 highway miles
14.5 mpg with prolly 1/2 highway miles

Maybe you've got a bad injector? You can have a cylinder quit on ya and it wont knock and rock around but will be wayyy underpowered, thus gotta use more fuel to get you where your goin.

Or heres a 2nd thought: the worst gas mileage Iv ever got was 8 in my 460. Not because its a 460 but because it had a gas leak. Maybe your leaking some fuel

No fuel leak but the injector is a possibility. I've been slowly renewing this truck since purchase and actually injectors and pump rebuild were next on my list... Bc of a slight under power feeling.

I was about to ask how many miles? Have the IP and sticks been done? What kind of shape is the tranny in, does it slip, does the TC lockup?

I have 35s 3.55s and zf, it averaged 18.2 over 7 tanks of fuel. Nothing special, i drove the hell out of it. Even loaded it was hard to get under 15. However i ran a bunch of #1 in it and wiped the pump, its gotten steadily worse over about a year, now im gettin 12.8-13.2 and power is really suffering

Yesterday i went 200 miles on the the highway with my truck. Did 62mph and averaged 17.85mpg. Came back home towing a boat and was averaging 15mpg. Mind you my truck is 4.10 gears, turbi, sitting on 35s 4wd and a zf. I was really happy witg my mileage.

The ip nor the injectors have been into (that I can tell) and the miles are a mystery but I'm estimating 200,000
