6 am on the first day of the new year.
I made and met a few new friends last year.
I hope to meet some more this one.

Good morning. Good day. A good year to all despite a 13 in its number.

 

No triskaidekaphobia here!
I was discharged from the US Army on a Friday the 13th.
In a lot of ways that was the luckiest day of my life.

 

This will be a wonderful year for us all. We just have to hold up our end of the bargain.

 

I am glad to be a part of the Mississippi Chapter. I had the chance to meet some of yall last and hope to meet more of you this year. May God bless and keep us this year.

 

Well the year is off to a good start.
After all I made it to the second day of it.

 

well todays #2 and it's cold up here 27 this am . did i happen to say that i hate cold wx.

 

Everybody ready for the best weekend of the year?

Had to fire up the fireplace for the first time of the season.

 

Day 4 and it's a Friday.
I used my new Gopro camera at an accident scene the other day.
When I downloaded the video to my computer I sat here watching the screen wondering just who that old fart was that was doing my job.
Oh my! I really don't look that old do I?
I'll post the video in a couple of days.
I'm still on the upswing of the learning curve on editing and posting videos.

 

After the storm, my neighbor had a guy cutting and cleaning trees out of his yard. The guy walked over and ask was any of my trucks for sale? I said everything is for sale. He asked about my 96 "Stack" truck. I said I would let it go for $3500.00. Now I would not give that for the truck. I thought I was safe. He came night before last and bought my damn truck. I am still pissed. My wife said to tell him i dont want to sell it. You guys know if you give a man a price, you have to stick to it. I miss my truck.

 

You are a honorable man of your word.
You just forgot just what our trucks are worth.
Are you are mad at yourself for not getting more?

Look at the bright side.
You now have an excuse to get another truck.
Besides you can only drive one at a time.

Gator, I guess that the old phrase "no good deed goes unpunished" fits with your truck sale. I doubt that I have ever sold anything and not later regret the sale.

At least you made his day.

 

I'm not mad about the price, I just liked the truck. The guy has kidds and pulls a horse trailer to shows. He had a Chevy and had to go have it towed the last two times they went to a show. They love the truck, I seen them yesterday. I ask him could I come over and visit my truck sometime. LOL. That lady I share a house with is having a good time with this.

 

I'm sorry to see it go Gator, everything happens for a reason, something better will come along & you really helped that family out.........
