The house is opened up, heat has been off for a few day's, and getting more work done in the garden today, and prepping an #8 Pork Shoulder so it can go in the Smoker tomorrow.
Then a few pain pills, and my Tens Unit
Hope y'all can enjoy this weather.
Be safe

Had to turn the AC on for a few minutes last night before bed. It was way to hot in here to even think about sleeping, and the forestry has been doing alot of local controlled burns. So opening up windows wasn't a option unless we wanted to fill the house with smoke.

I'll probably need the AC on this evening.

No A/C over here, not until it hit's near 90 during the day.
BUT, I do smell smoke, coals are heating up already for that #8 Pork Shoulder, and a half batch of beans...
Hoping to get some lights on the back of Ka'Bluey today too. Now that we have some decent weather, maybe I can get those seals.

Yes...
It's a warmer, or can smoke at lower temp for food like Fish, Beans, and has a grill in the bottom too.
Pretty sweet set up. I have an old Missouri license plate somewhat covering a hole in the firebox of my old rusted Brinkmann smoker. We usually buy one every 3 years, they just rust out from the heat. Truthfully I probably could have taken better care of it and gotten a little more time out of it. But we've been through at least 6 of these in the 20 years Shari and I have been married. And it's time to just by a nice one that's built like a tank, and take good care of it. Hopefully this would be my last smoker for a while.
It's built in Texas, out of 1/4" water pipe, and weighs #670, so it should last a while. Or I'm gonna get killed...

I got some weeds out of my area where I'll be planting my Tomatoes then washed the truck and Boss's Escape. Now I'm thinking a couple of pain pills.

I get cha, But how can we not show thanks and respect for the one who graciously Sent them to us at no cost? I say everyone who gets one should bring it to the Spring Fling and line up some of the trucks, and get someone to take a picture of the entire group who is there. I think it would be cool as heck to have a Chapter group photo, Then post it up. We could all do a toasts with the glasses or something stupid like that. It would make a cool man-cave picture. I don't know knawl on that bone for a bit. Lol.

Turned the AC on here for the first time after getting the new heat pump. I'm still very happy with the new unit. Just checked and it's on 75 in the house right now. Any warmer and I'll be turning it on again tonight.

The way I see it, I work in the hot sun all day so I don't have to sleep in it at night. Anything over 70-72 in the house and the ac will get kicked on. I typically keep the ac set on about 68. The smoke cleared today so the windows have been opened and it feels decent in here. Hoping it cools off some or I'll be turning the ac back on tonight.

No AC on here, BUT I did pull a great tasting Pork Shoulder off of the smoker this evening.
