Today is Purple Heart Day, hence my avatar change, for this day only.
Of all the guys I've known with them, Robin was the very best of them. His willingness to help set an example here at FTE for all of us to follow.
He is still missed to this day by those of us who knew him, and he lives on, if only in our memories.
For those of you that never knew him, you missed a helluva man, taken before his time.

My dad was a well decorated veteran after serving 24 years in the US Army, but one of the medals he never got was a purple heart.
Needless to say, he was ok with that.

One of my many regrets in life...We (Robin and I) spoke a number of times about visiting with Robin. "Next time south, next time south." Years go by...then he was gone ! I kick myself regularly over this.

Robin is truely missed and after many talks him & I had in where he was helping me though a problems. We got on the subject of his service to our country. I had thanked him for his service and had told him that I was in the Navy. Not only did he have a Purple Heart but he had been bestowed other medals too. I don't remember what it was that he received but he down played it like it was nothing. He was a good and humble man that lived his life doing for others and never taking credit for his good deeds.
God bless ya Brother
