ordering an ecoboost

Can an F150 be ordered with an ecoboost if it has a 8' box? I just went to a dealer and the salesman told me I couldn't get an ecoboost in a regular cab pickup, this was news to me. I know it cannot be ordered for a 6.5' box, but I was sure you could get one in a regular cab with an 8' box.

John, I think your only options for cab configurations are Scab and Screw if you want the EB engine.

Ecoboost can be had with regular cab long bed.

Good catch sir. Additionally, this will limit the trim options to XL or XLT.

My favorite pick-up is always a single cab long bed and would have one again...But... and there is always one, Mama of 46 years likes the 4 doors so our last 2 were crews. We just picked up our ordered XLT with the 302"A" option and we have always had XLT's. There is more bells and whistles than I ever could imagine on this truck. Maybe it's because of the Max Tow with the Eco Boost that did it.

If your having trouble getting what you want try and find a Ford Truck Center...Thoose guys can get anything especially for cities and farmers...Good Luck

I was told the same thing but the sales people are confused.

Eco is avail in shortest WB of 145" (144.5")

Regular Cab 8' box = 145" WB

Super Cab 6' Box = 145" WB

Super Crew 5.5' Box = 145" WB

In a 3.7L or 5.0L you can actually get a 126" WB (125.9)

The 126" WB is a Regular cab and 6 1/2' Box as above not avail with Eco.

Its been my experience that 99.8 percent of car salesman don't no anything about what they are selling.

I find it irritating when you have to inform them that the drivel spewing from thier mouths is incorrect.
