Hello All

First post, just bought a 2000 Eddie Bauer Expedition

Main beam is super bright but dipped beam is really weak

Are they like this normally or is there anything I should be looking for?

I have a 1999 Eddie Bauer and when new the headlights were great. I polished them about 5 years ago and now they are fogged over again, making them dim on high and low beams.

Instead of polishing again I am going to replace the lenses, I will be searching this site to see if anyone else has upgraded theirs.

Are your lenses clear?

It would seem my lights are after market projectors with the angel eyes. Main beam is excellent but driving/dipped is useless. I have bought new bulbs and I am replacing the wiring today as the previous owner butchered it upon installation. I shall keep you informed of how it goes. I may just rip them out and buy originals.

 

A great upgrade is to get the headlights and marker lights off of a 01-04 Lightning pickup. They are a direct swap and have clear lens. I have pics in my gallery of how they look.

Coolio, if my rewire and new bulbs do not work then new lights it is. Where did you buy them from? Straight from Ford or an after market supplier?

 

It seems like I bought oem ones from Blue Oval Industries. Doing a search I see there are aftermarket ones out there.

 

Rock auto, lights bought and installed! So much better that those spydrer things!

 

Which ones did you end up getting?

Wife likes the standard look

I am going to look at an expedition for me tomorrow! Whoop Whoop!!

I may require some info on supercharging etc, me likie the soundie of thatie!!
