getting rid of rough feel after dpf/cat delete...

...after my dpf/cat delete, i no longer have a nice ride quality. i can feel resonance in the truck that is simply unacceptable. the performance shop that did the exhaust work and minimaxx install has confirmed proper install with factory hangers in place. i'm technically improficient...can anyone suggest an add-on exhaust hanger/isolator that is designed for higher horsepower/larger pipe applications to minimize the resonance...assuming this is the problem? my guy said the f-150 raptor uses extra isolators for this reason.

Not sure what that is then, thinking maybe the truck was still in learning mode. Mine was a little rough after programming until the truck and trans got in tune again.

Stock pipes have a isolater beside the cat. Looks like a can. Maybe they can do the same and see if that helps.

Was the Turbo Downpipe replaced ?

If so, it's making contact when engine moves ...

My old 7.3 did this & it was HORRIBLE.

Did you just do a DPF/CAT delete race pipe or full exhaust?

With just a delete pipe, I can't see how there's any problem.

If you did the full exhaust then check your clearance under the bed above the rear axle. Mine is extremely close to hitting the underside of the bed. It my need t be adjusted some.

yes, just the dpf/cat pip. my only reason for doing this was to stop the regen headaches. i took a buddy for a ride who thinks he knows something about tuners...he thinks my transmission tune is the issue. he suggested a re-install/download and let it relearn again. after reading the h&s op manual, i see that the EZ tunes do not give you any control of the trans most likely requiring me to use the more aggressive tunes and then adjusting the trans through trial and error i suppose. thanks for the input, boys.

Yea most of those Trans tunes r BS.

I absolutely hated my Trans shifts with Super Chips Tuner.

I sold it went with the DPF-R tuner for STOCK POWER & STOCK TRANNY SHIFTING.

I LOVE IT

I kinda feel stupid having started this thread talking about exhaust vibration. I just got off the phone with H&S who told me that the easy tune should not have affected the trans but of course they don't know what my installer did before arriving at the final tune. So it would seem that I had the sched#1 with locked torq converter setting and high shift points selected. Got reinstalled with the closest to stock they had and it feels much better...not stock but much better. My old man just shakes his head and laughs for me ever pissing with the thing to begin with. He says "are you a damn Ford engineer, because they probably knew best how that truck should run." I told him to shut the hell up that I'm gonna just go buy a new one with my inheritance when he kicks the bucket
