1992 F-150 oil pressure

I just purchased my first Ford about 2 weeks ago. I noticed that the oil pressure gauge stays on the low side. It has a 5.8 351 with 155,000miles on it. I was not sure if these tend to stay on the low side or not. When I say low side it stays right around the N in normal. This is my first Ford and I love it...but don't know much about them. Any help would be appreciated.

That's just a glorified idiot light gauge. It registers anywhere between "NORMAL" when 7lbs registers against the sensor. For better accuracy, you can install a mechanical or digital gauge for true results. There are also a few links describing how to make it work as a true gauge. Just do a search, or maybe another member can post the link for ya.
