How to center my steering wheel/adjust tie rods
Hi Guys,
Regarding my '91 XLT. I have recently installed a new set of tires and also had an alignment done. Unfortunately, my steering wheel is still a tiny bit off-center. Not a lot and probably not enough for most people to worry about but nonetheless, it drives me crazy and I want to get it perfect. I don't want to take it back to the shop because it's a huge hassle.
So, to correct it, as I undertsand it, if my steering wheel is off to the left, to fix it, I need to shorten the drivers side tie rod and lengthen the passengers side tie rod, correct? My question is, in which direction do I turn the tie-rod adjusters to do this. Clockwise or counter-clockwise, or both and which one is which?
Thank you in advance guys for your help.
