Nice truck either way, I'd love to have an F250 4x4.
According to the vin, its a factory F250 4x4...F26YE862105

At least the frame is factory 4x4, body? who knows..

I know the bed is wrong, but to be honest, I like this bed better...

Is the battery under the floorboard?

That is what I was wondering. If it is under the floorboard on the passanger side it would be the correct cab. I do like the looks of the newer styleside bed with the cab as everthing body line wise aligns better. Looks like the box in the pics is sitting just a little high. Either the frame was lengthened or the rear axle moved back to get this box to sit correctly over the rear wheels. Nice looking 4wd slick. In my opinion we cant rescue to many of them as not alot of them were ever made.

Chris I took a look at your profile pix. It looks like you have a cab that has the inside steps. Does the top of the roof of your truck have an indentation or is it just flat across. If it has an indentation and no battery box hole on the passenger side it probably is a cab from a 64 2wd. If the roof is flat across the top with no indentation it would then be a cab from 61-63 2wd. Any of these cabs can be made to have the battery box under the floor just need to get a box from a f350 and the cover and cut the floor and shape as needed. My 63 actually has a 2wd 63 cab that I will convert to the 4wd cab I already have the hole and partial floor out of a F 350 all I have to do is cut and weld.

The truck is in storage right now and for the life of me I can't remember if the roof is flat or indented. I'm a little bummed its not a "real" 4x4, but I'm not surprised. Thanks for the info Vic...

Got the truck out of storage last weekend. New tires yesterday, 35in BFG ATs. They fit, although its a bit tight. I'm going to install an add a leaf for the front and 1.5in lift block for the rear. Crappy cell phone pic, didn't take my camera because I didn't think the tires would clear..lol

Vic, inside steps, indent in the roof and no battery box under the floor. Looks like you were right...64 2wd

Still a good looking rig in my book. Only true Ford truck guy will know the difference. I like the new wheels and tires they look good.

That truck looks sweet, Chris. You chose some nice wheels, IMO. I've got 31s on my truck now, it had 33s on it that were shot when I bought it. I have been trying to decide whether to go with 33s again or go up to 35s. I wasn't sure if 35s would be too tight or not. You don't have any sort of lift right now? If not, I'm thinking 35s would work for me, because I have a 3" body lift. The pic in my sig shows the truck with the old 33s.
