Question Fuse 18 4x4 Module in Lincoln Aviators

Hello all.

I have a 2004 Lincoln Aviator AWD and I noticed today that under the hood, fuse 18, which is listed as 4x4 module is missing. I looked in the empty channel and see that it has only a connector for the fuse on the one side and not the other. The other side is missing the metal down in it. I'm almost 99% sure that my AWD works after a few snow storms but not sure if I should add a new fuse in there or if it serves any purpose. Does anyone have any ideas on this missing fuse and what it does on an AWD truck?

Thanks!
-Justin

F18 was used only if the vehicle had the Torque On Demand (AdvanceTrac) feature.
