And here is there answer Ford is not going to replace the box even if it was made 3/8” higher on driverside.

They could add washers on pas side to bring it up and then none of the box molding would line up.

I can't believe it this day of modern manufacturer of parts that ford got this that far out.

Makes me wonder what else is screwed up from this kind of quality control.

Not a very happy camper right now.
My dealer / service guy said it looks to be misaligned and offered to send my truck to the body shop and have them realign it. I refused it at the moment because I want it done once I put a camper shell on to properly align the while thing to the roof.I should just have them try this time to add to my count of service visits for this issue.
Hold your marbles AbSlayer because many of the brand new trucks in the lot I inspected had the same problem on varying levels, ours (super-cab long bed) being the worst.
This is a warranty issue so you may have to "work" for it to be perfect but since my truck is brand new I may have a little more dealing power, they did offer to have it realigned and if it does not realign 4 times within 18 months properly, you get the picture. I just don't like the idea of my truck being crooked and if after alignment it is not within 2mm of where it should be I will have to take it farther. I still love the truck but every time i walk up to her I look at the body lines.

Stripped threads in box and bad bed liner issue still pending, I did e-mail the GM of the dealership and he said they are still deciding on my "Wishlist" but did say I was asking a little much but will do their best to be fair.
Here is a copy of His reply to me.

"Hi Peter, I just got in and read your email. I am headed into a few meetings but I did have a chance to have a quick conversation with XXXX ( service manager) and we are all on the same page of your situation. One of us will be in contact with you today to get this finalized of what we are going to do. Just be aware that who ever contacts you I will be involved with all decisions. We want you happy in the end. Not sure about 3000 worth off accesories but we will be fair with you for sure. Let my guys ( XXXX and XXX ) figure out the best way to do this and make this right. We will definetely do something extra for you guys for the hassle. Thanks for taking the time to send me this info so I could be aware of the situation and one of us will be in contact with you shortly. Thanks "

I feel a bit better bout the situation and know where I stand now. Now time to just wait and schedule a bed alignment tomorrow after the super bowl weekend, GO 49ers!

My dealer checked everything out and it was not a alignment problem it was a manufacturing defect and truck box was 3/8” higher on drivers side so not amount of alignment would fix problem.

It would require a complete new box , and this is where we hit the wall Dealer said flat out Ford would not replace box on truck as he has had others with same problem and that was there answer.

First Ford in 20 years not very impressed right now and told dealer that ,they just said what can we do.

Don't know where to go on this problem but I do know if they do not fix this it will be my last Ford.

And that is a shame as love the rest of the truck but really concerned now on how much Ford will stand behind there truck in event of other problems.

Never in my life have I run into anything like this with GMC or Dodge trucks I have owned .

Thenagain never seen this lack of quality control on them either.

Maybe taking a fork lift and lowering the forks on it with a 4x4 across might help serious/joking.
I wonder what they will tell me, how many miles do you have on your truck?

Abslayer,
You might want to use this link to contact them:

Contact Ford Motor Company

top right column under E-mail first drop down menu and use Ford Service Issues or whatever you think best suits your issues. I have this ready just in case I have to take it further and my issues aren't resolved within the dealership. I just want a "Wishlist" If they give me what I want I even plan on buying another FORD from them.!!

I just hit 1496 miles when the "CLEANING DIESEL EXHAUST FILTER" flashed on my info screen. I am not sure how long it lasted but I was getting 20.9 MPG then after the sign flashed it fell to 19.5MPG for the rest of my trip.
After it;s done cleaning does it tell me? humm.. I did run it in "M" 5th gear @2000 rpm to keep the revs high to help the "Diesel Particulate Filter" clean off for about 10 miles.

I do enjoy this truck everyone, don't get me wrong but rolling around with stripped threads caused by installer error and a junk bed liner isn't exactly what I had in mind for a brand new "Expensive" truck. I do still love engine and feel of driving it. So now I decided to park her inside in the toasty 55F-90F temperature garage.
Took the Range Rover out the garage and wiped up all her leaks on the epoxy floor, This is the first time in it's life, since brand new, she will be parked outside forever!
Fitting my Super-Cab Long Bed into the garage required me moving a lot of women shoes and junk but she fit!

Have to watch out for wary wanderers around the truck, I put some padded sheets around the high traffic areas,Yes, I been called crazy.I do have to move some junk out of the garage.

Are you still negotiating / demanding a fix for the botched bedliner and stripped bolt? Their hosing you big time and don't back off. This thread clearly shows you are very proud of your new F250. Have you considered a Sprayed in Bedliner? You might want to have the dealer pay to have it done and you just might like it better than the plastic. I went with the spray on my 2012 and IM very pleased with the results.

Hey Wrighton,
I am very proud & do love the truck, I'm not letting up PERIOD. This is my first, brand spanking new vehicle that I will keep forever. I'm getting in contact with the Regional CSR who will be mediating between myself and the dealer. I am still waiting for contact from the R-CSR "Tammy"

Your spray in bed liner looks good and I have been thinking about getting it done myself, it seems Line-X is the way to go? I could get away with the BedRug which is part of my wishlist. I can only keep my bed if they do this for me, I can re-thread and use my own low profile stainless hardware.
If not I want a brand new box that's painted or one off a car in the dealer lot that looks like it aligns better with spray in liner applied and I still want some items off my wish list for the trouble and stress they put me through. They said this is a bit much to ask but I believe it is completely fair. If it goes well I do plan on buying another Ford Truck or car.

If you guys would like to view my Wishlist, It's basically the value of the bed assembly without replacement. I think all these accessories should suffice for pain and suffering + the devaluation of my bed box assembly. I even offered to install everything myself if it doesn't void my warranty on the items.

I would for sure go with a spray in bed liner. Back years ago I bought a new lighting and had a problem with it pulling to one side after 2 Ford engineers came down and looked at it drove it had the shop do some front end work still did not fix the problem I told them I was done with the truck I wanted a new one truck was only 3 months old. I had the windows tinted a Line-X sprayed in bed liner. At first they did not wont to add those items that back in but they did and made me whole again.

I just got a call back from my CSM at the dealer.
I also been in contact with @FordService on Twitter.
The bed alignment issue is through warranty so I can claim on that any time in the next 3 years they said but I'm going to make my first attempt once I get the accessories. If alignment does not cure the mis-alignment I can push for a brand new, properly welded/straight bed box within the first 18 months of ownership. All I am thinking is "please just get it right so I can keep the truck!".
They do want to make me happy and offered me $1000 in accessories and a brand new drop in bed liner since it was a complimentary item during purchase. That's $1500 less then I was asking for. I told them I want about $1500ish in accessories and it may suffice, Let me go edit my wish list for you guys a little and see what we can agree on I told them.
I don't know if I should wait for the regional CSM or just settle it between the dealer and myself. I do want a good relationship with my dealer but I also do not want the short end of the stick.

Regional CSM Called me to discuss the bed box alignment issues.
The dealer CSM told me it was a factory error which is covered under the new vehicle warranty. After we come to an agreement/settlement on the Box thread issues and my wish list we will handle it separately.
First try will be aligning the bed at the body shop and if this does not work step 2 will be for the dealer to call the Ford engineer hotline to notify them of the bed box alignment issues since all the trucks I seen in their dealer lot has this problem to varying degrees. Have a brand new properly welded bed assembly painted in my color with factory ToughBed sent out to me.
All issues still pending.

So lets give Ford a pass on this hell only a $60,000 Dollar truck so what if lines on side of truck hell only out only a ½ inch , box looking from back end so bad a blind man could see, are you kidding me.

Is there any wonder why quality control gets worse and worse.
