Fuel Tank Sending Unit Outlet Pipe Diameter?

I have an 85 F150 with a 300 cu. in. 6 cyl. engine.

I am planning on changing my leaking fuel line which is currently a combination of a steel line at the front and a plastic line at the back to the tank. I would like to replace it all with a steel line running from the pump to the fuel tank sending unit with a short piece of rubber fuel line at the pump and at the fuel tank sending unit.

My question is what is the diameter of the fuel tank sending unit outlet pipe?

Thank You

My '86 uses 3/8" ID.
FYI - You can buy various repair and splice fittings for Ford quick connect type fittings at Autoparts stores.

Thank You for replying klricks. I see your is an EFI set up with the in tank fuel pump I assume?

I wonder if the sending unit for my carburetured in line six has the same diameter pipe on the sending unit.

If it is 3/8" like yours it would be ideal.
