99 5.4l no start issue. may be fuel pump?

Sounds like the crank sensor... only way to tell is when the no-start condition appears, check for spark and/or fuel injector pulses. If no spark, the computer doesn't know the engine is turning - as in, crank sensor.

But, if during this you spray ether (starting fluid) in it and it starts, that means the injectors aren't firing. Could be a bad harness or corroded fuse...

I just changed the cam position sensor. Still no start. Gues ill move on to the crank position sensor next. Hopefully that fixes it. I gues ill be taking it to a shop after that.

I just replaced the cam position sensor. Still won't start after engine gets hot. I gues ill change the crank position sensor next. Running out of ideas. I'll have to take it to a shop if the new crank sensor doesn't fix it.

Woops double post. I'll be removing the ac compressor this weekend and changing the crank sensor.

Sucks when you have 2 problems at once. Like weak fuel pump and a bad sensor some where.
