Hey fellas. Got a new ignition switch actuator linkage (commonly broken pot-metal piece), but i can't get it installed. The old one came out easy since it was broken, but the new one has no way of getting around the tilt mechanism to slide into it's hole. I cant figure out how to disassemble or remove the tilt mechanism. Anybody got a tip?

In this diagram, it's part 14 im trying to install. Part 15 is in my way.

 

Here is a blow up of the column you got to take the column apart starting at the wheel

 

You have to dismantle it to install the rack . Pull the tilt head , and it will go in .

 

I knew I had to disassemble it guys. I said that in the first post. I figured it out. Thanks anyways.
