ICP / IPR Overpressure questions
Sorry if I put this in the wrong forum first go around, if you already read it disregard....
2000 F350 Crew Cab, 4x4 automatic 7.3 with 119,000 miles.
I am getting these two codes and am familiar enough to know that the one 1211 is either high or low pressure and the 1282 is excessive pressure.
The truck sat a long time and was rarely driven before I owned it and I have put 5-6 tanks of good fuel with diesel kleen in it as well as 2000 miles on a fresh oil change with 15/40 Rotella. I thought it might be a sticky IPR and it would clear itself out....not so.
Right before I bought it the previous owner had the HPOP replaced (at my suggestion due to leakage) with a stock one (receipt and warranty at my request). Therefore I think since I have both codes it is over pressure on the injection control pressure.
My real question is....can I cause harm now, when every once and a while accelerating to merge and the light blinks occaisionally at me or will I cause damage later when I put a TS chip DIY filter kit and 4" exhaust and "get on it" at red lights. The truck is stock right now and I never intend on going the "full build route" with injectors, methane etc.... This is my daily driver that pulls the boat and hauls the kids. Any advice is appreciated.
