It's a little light that plugs into the injector harness. If everything is working right, the light will pulse to show that the computer is demanding the injector to squirt fuel. Google image noid light set so you'll know what I'm talking about. Try going to your local Autozone and see if you can rent a noid light set. Also when you do this, do BOTH sides of the injector harness. When I first got my Bronco it wouldn't run. Used a noid light and found that only one cylinder banks injectors were pulsing. If you run into the same situation that I did, your computer may be bad. I replaced mine and it's run like a champ ever since.
Let me ask you this. When you turn your key to the ON position, do you even hear the fuel pump prime?

Also I should probably tell you how to test using the noid light. Unclip the harness from one of the injectors and stick the noid light in it. Get someone to turn the key to the crank position. Do this to both the driver side and passenger side of the injector harness. While it's cranking, the noid light SHOULD be pulsing on and off. If it isn't, I would suspect a faulty PIP in the distributor, faulty wiring, or bad computer.
