Question H&S Black Maxx ?'s

so i reciently got into a 2008 6.4 with a black maxx and dpf delete. after reading into some of the different tunes i think i should switch to the HD300 from the mild tunes. also it looks like it could use and update being it has Nov 2011 update. first few questions i have, how do i know what low boost fuel setting in currently and how do you change it. can you only change it when you download the different tune? also what does it take to do the transmission relearn, does this need to be done every time a new tune is loaded? thanks guys im looking forward to learning more about this truck and tuner!

When you load the new tune it will give you the option the adjust the LBF setting. I run mine on 5. It will also ask if you want to adjust the tranny settings during the install. Some guys do the re learn, some dont. I never have. Just give it a few days of driving to get the shifting down. Its hard to say what settngs are in it now so its best to update it then re install. I run the HD300 also but i have an S&B intake and a bunch of other crap also.

is there any negatives to running the LBF 5? when it comes to the trans settings i went with the S1M being this seems what most guys recomend but i dont recall it asking about a re learn, is that only if i select a different trans tune? must have entered wrong tire size it shows about 2 mph slower than gps.

If the last update you have is Nov 2011, you probably don't have LBF settings. Everything USED to be done from a computer, now all files are stored on the SD card and tunes are chosen as you flash.

I run my LBF setting on 5. It will blow a lot of black smoke if you really hammer down hard under low boost. The smoke is really just un burned fuel but the theary behind that is that it will help spool the turbo faster, making more power.
