My truck is a non turbo 7.3. I am swapping out an oem type filter for a 2 micron spin on. This will provide a cleaner ip and cleaner injectors who shouldn't lose there pop as fast. Now i do not know that a stock level filter filters at but i am going to guess 30 microns. Surfing the web today i found a 2 Micron fleet guard for my truck and i plan on getting that installed on my truck. I am ordering one of them and a box of stanadyne. So with that being said that is a big difference in particle ketching. But one thought i have is i will have lower fuel pressure now. Does anyone here rub a 2 micron on there truck?

 

As far as i know the stock wix filter i run is a 2 mic

 

most are 4-6 i think you shouldn't have any problems with 2 micron unless you run WMO it might need changing more often..depending on your WMO preperation filltration ect...
