Well, you know yankee's biggest complaints when they invade... er.. "relocate", is that we don't know how to drive in winter weather precip.

Terri was complaining last night after getting home about the morons who were driving 80 behind her & 45 in front of her on her commute. And it wasn't even icy, just 40-ish & rain.

I'm sitting here hoping for some of that weather that you people up north are complaining about.
Let the bridges ice up.
Another 20 or 30 tows would be good for the bank account.

Evening Mississippi. We made our 30 year mark today. She had me a big t-bone ready when I got home. On to more important news, I bought three more trucks today. 97 F-250 - 2000 F-250 with a tool body - 99 F-250 (parts truck). I will bring them home this weekend. Anyone have a extra bed room for rent ?

With six "sunshines" in a row after Thursday, we all should be able to get something done.

Carpentering this week and sawmilling next week.

Yeah, itz gonna' be a cluster hockey puck out there this morning. Dad blasted stuff is/has floating up under my car port & has coated my firewood.

On edit...
I've often wondered why recovery companies don't loan out their operators to other companies like electric companies do when we have winter storms.

After Superstorm Sandy there was a call for recovery vehicles and drivers to go to the northeast and work for the major insurance salvage companies.

Recovery companies are greedy entities.
If they were to share Drivers/ Vehicles they would have to share the profits.
There is a rivalry in the industry that is difficult to overcome.

I have worked hard to develop a working relationship with the other drivers here on the coast.
I've made a point of waving a greeting, flashing my lights or acknowledging them in some way when we pass in traffic.
Another thing I do is lend a hand to the other drivers when we are working a scene together.
Not all of the others respond to those overtures of camaraderie.

There is one other company that will call me to take a call that they are unable to cover or that the company owner thinks is beyond his drivers skill level.
I've known the owner for close on to 30 years now.

I would like for the drivers to bury the hatchet and band together in an organization to better our lot in life.

The owners however hate the idea that the drivers should stand united.

The power that competent recovery operators wield is scary.
Without us the country would come to a stop.
Think about it: The nation would halt as the roads became blocked with wrecked vehicles.
Cars sitting on the side of the road where they broke down and there was no one to tow them to a repair facility.
Who would tow the police impounded vehicles?
