That was my thought, plus if you are camping you can cover up a little.

Or turn on the furnace. Must remember we camp in heated/airconditioned comfort.

We did the tent thing when the kids were young. I'm into comfortable now.

We have actually seen people come into campsites on bikes and set up the tents. Pedal bikes that is.

That sounds like a fun time. The second EX and I used to pack a tent on our 450 Honda and head off for a long weekend every so often. Maybe a total of 700 miles in all.

That's a long trip. We camped in a tent trailer when I was a kid. Basically a tent on wheels back then. We plan on heading to Alberta at the end of June for a visit with the oldest daughter and kids. It's just over 600 miles.
