Rancho Suspension RS98510 Steering Stabilizer Dual Kit - shot after only 9 months

I have had my Rancho Dual Stabilizer kit on my 2011 F-350 for 9 months. (See post in Tech Forum under Epic's Dual Stabilizer installation video) and i think it is time to dump it.

I have a great place to test how well this works here in Denver. East bound C-470 to I-25 North. It is a elevated LH fly over with a pretty "aggressive" expansion joint. I went over it today and and almost lost control of the vehicle at the posted speed limit. Could it be that my Rancho Dual Stabilizer shocks are shot after less than 1 year like my Rancho OEM shocks were? What else are guys using to fix this problem? I installed Bilstein's 5100 shocks about 6 months after I owned the truck as the OEM shocks were shot - they have been great! I could compress easily and they would stay compressed.

I may have to look replacing the Rancho Suspension RS98510 Steering Stabilizer Dual Kit with a Bilstein 5100 Steering Stabilizer.

Any other ideas or thoughts would be much appreciated.

Im not too far from you, Im in North Eastern Utah, and I know a bunch of guys that arent too happy with Rancho shocks. A couple of them replaced them on their FX4s and went with the 9000s, and told me they are Garbage. Said they wish they would have went with Bilstiens, or kings. I have a buddy that went with the 7100 Bilstein shocks and he loves them, keeps telling me to change mine, but Im gonna do the piggy backs when I do the leveling kit from Icon.

I went with 5100's after only a month. Never looked back. My shocks are a huge improvement. Next is 7100 stabilizer when I buy new tires. I have 100% brand confidence in Bilstein. My advice, don't bother looking elsewhere. Bilstein is a proven product. Spend more on Kings or Carli if you want but I "know" Bilstein works well and have yet to read about anyone on this forum who has anything but satisfaction.

I hear you but i think i would rather package them up and ship to Rancho with a copy of my receipt for the new Carli/Bilstein 7100 Stabilizer than to have another set of POS Shocks on my truck.

LOL!!

They are def a TOP NOTCH company. Some people dont want to spend the little bit extra to get the bilsteins, and I ask why not? You spent 50-60K on a truck, why not spend a couple hundred on some Bad *** shocks. I dont get it.

First I've heard of anyone not liking the 9000s
There have been a few that started with blistering and said they were to stiff and switched to the 9000s and were much happier.

And do a search on the 7100 seems like most people have problems with them making the truck pull to the left even after lowering the nitrogen pressure.

yeah ive never heard of the rancho 9000s being garbage either. i have the new 7000s on my truck and love them, ride is very smooth. if you have money to waste on king shocks on a stock truck, then by all means go for it...

It's the stabilizer shocks that have "sheet the bed".
