Would a 6" lift kit for a 78 Bronco fit a dana 60 rear that's been put in the Bronco?

Also i'd be putting a 8 lug Dana 44 in the Bronco. The 8 lug as you all know uses leaf springs, i'd rather use coils as they are cheaper. What kind of process would it involve changing over the Dana 44 from leafs to coils?

 

Yes your 6" lift will fit the Dana 60 as long as it's equipped with spring perches for 3" wide leafs. If it doesn't have the right perches, new ones can be easily welded on by an experinced welder.

To bolt the HD D44 in up front you will need to have c-bushing mounts welded to the diff. Otherwise it's pretty much a bolt n' go operation.

 

Does the bronco have a front end in it now? If it does I think you can just swap the spindles and hubs to the hd 8 lug stuff. Then you won't have to do any fab work.

Wouldn't the F250's D44 be stronger than the Bronco's though?

 

No. From the ball joints in it's the same I think.
