Has anyone used 2" drop shackles?

I've read several threads saying that they hit the bed???

1965-1972 Ford F100 F-100 1" - 2" Crown Suspension Lowering Drop Shackles Kit on eBay!

How would a shackle hit the bed??

Have you ever seen how the rear shackle on a '66 is oriented? Now add length to it to achieve the 2" drop.

have never seen up close a shackle from a 66'
but have a 64' pic and a pic of a 66' would make my day

A short bed no problem to go 2" or a tad more. A long bed its close already.

Did you check your phone texts?

Simple as that crawl underneath and measure how much room you have from top of original shackle to the bottom of box. You will find it is already close to the floor support when suspension is squatting. (Long Box)

Just drop the truck and keys at my house along with title & I will take over the truck payments for you! LOL

On my way and no payments! Shackle leans towards front of truck so no worries about support which is behind the shackle. (Bumper side)

If your springs are on top of your axle, wouldn't you be shortening the shackle to create the drop, not lengthening to lower like you would if your springs were under your axle?
