2012 King Ranch Tire and Wheel

The trucks come with 18" and 20" wheels. Sure there is a noticeable difference in wheel sizes. The 18" comes with 275 70 tire and the 20" comes with a 275 65 tire. The overall diameter isnt that much different between the two. Either way the stock Continentals are aweful. BTW I'm not due any respect.

Not to belabor the point but I see your argument and you are right about the diameter and all but when I stood on the lot and compared the 20" trucks with the 18s, I could see a big difference. Mostly, at the mirrors and the top of the truck. However, now that I think of it...the 20s were diesels and the 18 was (my) 6.2L. Maybe they use different suspension parts cause the diesel is heavier? I did check for snow plow and/or heavy duty front and they were not configured on the 20" trucks.
I am driving to the lot tomorrow on the holiday and do some truck height envy exercises
Anyway...have you guys found me a sweet deal on KR 20's yet ??
Thanks.

I bought a F-250 2011 6.2l Lariat with the 18 inch wheels and continental tires, ripped through the tires in one season, I agree that the continental tires are garbage, they wear super fast.
Then I found a brand new take-off set of king ranch 20s, the two tone ones, from also a 2011, and they had the much better michelin tires, which im still on now going on second year, with not much tread gone, overall like them way better, they are quieter, and seem to ride just as comfortable, although im sure there is a little less comfort when going from 18 to 20 inch.
As far as the size change goes, the ford dealer or any shop with a ford factory scanner, can just change the tire selection in the computer from 18 to 20 inch for you so all the speedometer and abs components get the correct readings, the 20's fill the wheel wells better, and look nicer, and the michelins just look much more aggressive, and are certainly a little taller, definately better quality tires.

PS I really like the Michelin LTX AT/2 tires. I have become a big fan of Michelin over the last year or so, buying 10 Michelin XPS Ribs for my gooseneck (2 spares).

I have complaints on the Continentals only. They have 0 traction in wet conditions and nearly caused me to be t-boned more than once. There was a sizeable recall on them for certain years as well (pre 09).
The Michelins and Goodyers were way better from what I've heard.
