uneven tread wear from inconsistent tire rotation/front end alignment issues can show up this way also. can be very difficult to diagnose. had it show up on my wife's fusion and on one of the fronts on Motorbug. Motorbug's tire was worn out of round so it kind of bounced down the road. still has plenty of good tread... but up front by itself it really makes for quite the carnival ride. the bad wear on the fusion was different... on 2 tires... belts separated internally and crossed over eachother. it was almost invisible... took a really experienced tire guy to even catch it.
moral here is kiss.
got a thump... start at the road... work your way to your butt.

Only my wife knows if I have a bumpy butt.
Tires: New. Coasting got rid of the vibration. Speed maintaining and slight-to-moderate climbing or acceleration exposed the vibration. It was much faster than tire rotation (about 3.73 times faster... a clue).

Must have more coffee... I forgot we were helping bad12jr here.
The frequency of the vibration will help to isolate the source... so at least I contributed something in my moment of self-importance.

- Tires have a 1000 miles on them. Balanced with very little weight.
- Ball Joints as one was loose so did them all.
- Wheel bearings fell good.
- Has warn manual lockouts.
- Brakes aren't rubbing, wheels spin free.
- Had a loose TC bolts before and have checked them every 500 or so miles and still tight the last 2000 miles.
- All springs bushings look great.
- New ford track bar.
I really thought it was the tires as they were nitto dura grapplers and getting worn decent. First thought was a belt so I was thinking maybe. Well when I pulled the tires to take to the shop (Had a charging problem at the time) I found the loose ball joint. So new ball joints and alignment. Still there even after all that.
While talking to my buddy the day before this thread he mentioned he had to change his u joints on a ccsb v10 doing the same. I was going to swap wheels thinking a bent one maybe, but that sounded logical.
I have a BTS in it which shifts very firm. I put on traction bars which help tremendously. I would say that is what has worn them as the PO did pull a gooseneck trailer with the truck some.
Appreciate the help and didn't mean to highjack
