78 F100 Engine dies??
Hello everyone,
I have completely rebuilt my 78 F100 Custom from the frame up. It has the 302 and 3 speed on the column. Rebuilt the engine, new clutch, throw-out bearing, pilot bearing, etc. The engine runs great, at idle, but when I put it in gear and start to let the clutch out, the engine almost immediately dies. It seems to happen when the clutch starts to engage and does this in reverse or first.
Would engine timing have anything to do with this?
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,
John
