I do not like old threads, but...
Clean every battery cable connection, both ends, and the surface it connects to.

EDIT: I see several similar postings today. None have a connecting link.

 

I had a similar problem and it was my LPOP.

If you add about a pint to the HPOP reservoir, put the plug back in and see if it starts for a few seconds. You dont want to add more than a pint, it will just overflow and run down into the oil pan. If it starts, runs for a few seconds and dies, most likely the LPOP.

IPR or CPS can also cause a no start.

I have a 2001 f350 psd crunk up in the morning after warming up started stumbling cut it off and went to crank back up had no wts light and would crank but no start. check all fuses and relays none blown. some times wts light will come on but go back off. checked icp sensor and had oil passing thru sensor and replaced. still no wts light ohm glow plugs and are ok and checked glow plug relay and ok. finally had wts light and crunk up and stumbling bad and when barley touch throttle rpms shoot up to 2500 blow black smoke. anyone had this problem let me know
