An axle flip - move the axle above the spring from below the spring - may be the quickest for you. Do a search here to see what is involved and if you want to tackle it yourself.

Then when you do that you have to "C" notch the frame and ruin the truck..

I'm looking for 2" of drop; not 4-5". It looks like drop shackles will do the trick but I've read several threads where the shackles hit the bed???

C-notching a frame properly ruins a truck? tell me how??
Yeah I suggest removing bottom flat spring, might not make much difference, shackles will work too.... An axle flip is a 4-6" drop, not 2" your looking for...

Boss was referring to my truck which is a survivor. It's a very original AZ truck with no damage, rust or bondo. I did hop up the engine however. It would be a shame to cut the frame on such a truck. Any mods that I do to the truck are reversible and he knew that was my goal.
I agree with Garbz too. From your ride height I'm guessing you have the heavier rate spring, 1200lb if memory serves. Pulling the flat leafs drops your rate to 900(?) lbs and lowers it around and inch+/-
I have the lower rate springs on my 65 and it does appear to sit lower than yours and the ride is very good.
After that you can use a shorter drop shackle if need be. I always like to keep spring shackle lenghts as close to stock as possible.

Actually my truck sits pretty low in the rear compared to other Slicks. I only have four leafs plus one overload spring. Truck is pretty original so I don't know what's going on there. Sounds like I'll be pulling the overload. Hopefully the bolt through the center of the pack has long threads. Thanks for the reply!
That got me wondering so I had to go out and look, lol.
I've got the four leaf plus an overload too. With 26 1/2" od tires the top of the bed rail is 45" at the rear axle.
