I'm doing an engine swap on my truck to a 400. Couple questions about the exhaust and motor mounts/towers. I still have my stock 390 FE mounts and was wondering if anyone out there has attempted to make them fit with a 400? If so, what modifications did you do to make them fit? Next, I ordered a pair of Sanderson FC2 headers (have 351c heads) and heard a couple people say they had some clearance issues. Can anyone confirm this?

 

I thought we had addressed this in your prior thread. The 351/400 M uses the same towers as the 302 easily found at pick & pulls 68-79 trucks, 77-79 trucks with the 400. Expect exhaust issues.

For the 500th time: Same engine supports aka towers, stands, perches:

1969/79 F100 302 / 1975/79 F150 302 / 1977/79 F100/350 351M/400 2WD

 

I know i have asked this before but if you look at my post, i wanted to see if anyone has attempted to use the FE supports. Im trying to get away with what i can before ordering more parts when i can use what i already have
